It’s that time of year where I have more gigs in a week than I had the last month and that’s OK
This time it was at the Met Theatre in Winnipeg for Investors Group a financial management group that coincidentally owns the property that I rent a small space in for my music school here in Winnipeg I played for them last year I did a trio they put us in the lobby it was cold we were by the coat check and the service elevator. The DJ played while we were trying to play.

This year I didn’t really want to do the gig unless we were away from the DJ and the cold and they were happy about that. So rather than us trying to compete with the DJ the DJ only played when we weren’t playing so that was very nice. We were on the stage which meant we could hear each other everybody could see and hear us. We didn’t have to compete with the general background noise of 600-700 people mingling and having a good time.

This event It really was a fun gig when you can do a 4 piece group which I don’t get to do very often just play tunes you know and love basically jam and entertain people

It was a wonderful experience and I was able to get some good video some decent sound but some good video of us playing.
I know I have the reputation of being the solo guitar guy the chord melody jazz player but I also cut my teeth playing in bands.
