I don’t tour, but I always take a guitar with me. Getting a guitar on a plane has been increasingly difficult post lockdowns. I have my theories but none of it matters, If they threaten to not let you on the plane unless you put your expensive guitar in the soft case (that you specifically use because that’s what the airlines used to require) in the hold, you have to come up with a solution.
I came up with two solutions.
One was a Carbon Fiber Guitar case for my Archtop.

Fits real tight and the guitar doesn’t budge. I gate check it. Which means (at least flying domestically on WestJethttps://www.westjet.com/en-ca I walk down the gantry, leave it with the car seats and other guitars, they load it in a slightly special section and when I land, they bring it up to me and I take it the rest of the way.
My other solution was someone else’s solution.
The MOOV Folding Travel Guitar
It is as described: a guitar that folds down and fits into a backpack so small even the strictest TSA or FA won’t take a second look.
MOOVhttps://moovguitars.com/ is a company out of Greece. What attracted was
1. They made 6, 7 and 8 string versions!
2. They came in Nylon and Steel String
3. All the reviews on them where by people who could really play

This is a great guitar that you just happen to be able to travel with!
Here is a video I made reviewing it
And here is a video of me playing it

Folds into a tiny Back Pack

Even fits under the ½ area you get on a aisle seat behind first class
The biggest challenge was were and how to hang when at home.

This is more than a travel Guitar it is an everyday guitar.
I have swapped out the mini mic that complements the piezo for a contact piezo, so a review on that should be forthcoming.
