Proir to playing this event, there was a big hullabaloo on local social media as the Norwood Hotel on Marion in Winnipeg, was renovating and would not be continuing with live music in the bar. Now I have only played there once before and it was during an ill fated attempt to have jazz there. So much fun playing jazz standards for the degenerate day drinkers.
On this date I was playing for the Seven Oaks Hospital volunteer appreciation dinner.
They loved it.
Without asking they also fed me.
