Bass Player
Sure it’s an old joke the follow up joke is: What do you call a guitar player without a girlfriend?” “Homeless!”
Anyways, I was asked to sit in and play a bass in my church group I thought it was gonna be a large group but it turned out to be just the the singer leader playing guitar and me on bass so I got an inordinate amount of time playing melody on the bass which sounds rich and lovely and then even more bass solos than you would expect in a church band.
