Solo Guitar 70th Birthday Party.

I played a lovely event at the Manitoba Club for somebody’s precursor 70th birthday party. They were going to be away during their actual 70th birthday so they had a little party here in Winnipeg before they went to their Snowbird location Manitoba Club is a lovely place but in recent years they’ve made it even harder for musicians to get in and out of the place!
Forever it was a hard deal because there was no ground floor elevator. There’s stairs from the street and then stairs up into the next level where there’s an elevator to the 2nd floor (where most events are held).

When I agreed to the gig I was then approached by somebody from the Manitoba Club telling me I had to go in the rear and come through the freight entrance, which is also set of stairs, but a set of stairs that are bolted/welded to the side of the building! They’re made steel and this is the middle of winter on top of it.
So I used a very small amp, no effects of course I don’t need them but they’re nice to make gig more fun. I just sat in the corner and played. they loved it my little 50 Watt Boss Katana amp filled the room quite nicely and I was able to walk through the front door with my guitar, straight from the street with no bother to anyone.
